Technical Theater

Our initial tech theater course offers students their A-G arts credit and a hands-on CTE (Career and Technical Education) class to establish a foundational understanding of the many disciplines and artforms that come together to support live theatrical performance. Students gain understanding of lighting design, audio design, costuming, hair/make up, properties management, stage management, and so much more!

Intermediate, advanced, Honors

This combination class provides students an opportunity to extend their learning by designing for our mainstage and black box theatre productions. In addition, our technicians support all VAPA programs through working the concerts and events throughout the year. Students gain access to professional-level technology, collaborate in small teams to design all areas of production for our play and musical, and get insight into the entertainment industry.
